We often get so busy in the day-to-day projects, deadlines, budget conversations and organizational protocols that we forget to stop and embed one of the most essential elements that every successful organization shares – having some fun!
“Work Hard. Play Hard.”
This was my mantra. By interjecting some fun, I knew it would bind the crew together, forge camaraderie and boost morale. Take a moment to watch this short video as I share some of the ways I brought my crew together and the impact it had across the ship.
Over the next couple weeks, come up with a list of ideas on how to add a little bit of fun into your day-to-day activities. Get your team involved, and ask them what they would like to do. Remember, these ideas don’t need to cost a lot of money or take a lot of time. The investment you make will pay you back ten-fold!
